We sincerely hope you can become a sponsor and we look forward to hearing from you.
The producers of the “Song for Cesar” documentary and the Cesar Chavez Foundation respectfully ask you to help us ensure that current and future generations will be inspired by the legacy of Cesar Chavez. Cesar’s life and core values—including self-sacrifice, nonviolence, social justice and service to others—are as relevant today as they were when he was alive. That is certainly why schools, streets, parks and other public places have been named in his honor, and many states and countless communities across our nation celebrate his birthday as an official holiday. It is why the U.S. Navy named its latest Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship USNS Cesar Chavez and why last fall President Obama proclaimed Cesar’s home, where he labored his last quarter century, as the Cesar E. Chavez National Monument, the 398th unity of the National Park Service.
This documentary film project will be included in the educational outreach curriculum of the Cesar Chavez Foundation. Because the values and lessons of Cesar Chavez, like so many other great leaders, are so universal, this film will benefit all of our diverse communities. We would be privileged and most grateful if you, your company or organization would become a sponsor by helping us raise the funds necessary for completion of the documentary “Song for Cesar.” Your contribution will assist us in preserving the life work and legacy of this great humanitarian and leader of social justice. We have enclosed sponsorship forms for your review. They include the acknowledgement you will receive for your contribution. This is a non-profit organization and all contributions are tax-deductible. When submitting your contribution, please identify that this contribution is for the “Song for Cesar” documentary project fund.
